Thank you for visiting!
My name is Heather Boyd and I am the dedicated owner and founder of IVYSTONE POODLES.
I’ve always been captivated by the beauty, intelligence, elegance and loyalty of the Standard Poodle. As a Groomer, I have always been drawn to this breed! They are sweet, SILLY, adorable and so smart! There’s something truly magical about watching a Standard Poodle moving effortlessly in the show ring.
We are a small in-home breeder specializing in solid Black or solid White/Cream Standard Poodles. We started breeding in 2023. Our first litter was born Jan 4 2024. By December of that year we already had 2 Canadian Champions from our very first litter!! (IvyStone Evermore and IvyStone We Have a Problem)
We are passionate to share the joy and love that these amazing animals bring to our lives.
Breeding poodles, for me, isn't just about producing beautiful puppies—it's about fostering health, temperament, and the long-term well-being of the breed. I am committed to ethical breeding practices, ensuring that every dog I bring into the world is healthy, well-socialized, and ready to make a positive impact on their new family. Through careful selection of breeding pairs, health testing, and a focus on nurturing strong, loving relationships, I strive to create poodles that embody everything I admire about the breed.
At IvyStone Poodles, we believe in responsible breeding practices that prioritize the betterment of the breed, adhereing to the breed standard, and the overall health and well-being of our dogs. We are committed to producing happy, healthy puppies from titled Canadian Champions, who have successfully been Health tested. We do OFA Hips and Elbows, Eyes, Heart and DNA testing on all our breeding stock.
Puppies are vet checked, microchipped and vaccinated before leaving our program.
Puppies are raised with Early Neorological Stimulation (ENS) and we utilize the Puppy Culture Program. They are litter trained from very early age and are nearly potty trained by the time they go to their new homes!
Temperament testing takes place to ensure puppies are placed with the right family!
Our puppies are raised in our home. We follow the Puppy Culture Program to ensure puppies have the best start in life! Pups are exposed to various sounds, experiences, textures, and events at the appropriate age.
Raising our puppies in our home offers them the best start in life, as it ensures they are well-socialized, comfortable with everyday household sounds, and accustomed to being around people and other pets. This early exposure helps them develop into confident, well-adjusted dogs that adapt easily to their new families.
By raising them in a family environment, we can provide each puppy with the individual love and attention they need, fostering positive behaviors and reinforcing good habits from a young age.
This home-based approach ensures they grow up with the love, care, and nurturing they deserve before joining their forever homes.
